NT-TTR wire for electric current actuator was lineup
For those who are thinking of reducing the size and cost of actuators
1. How to use this wire
Shape memory alloy wires elongated and shrank due to martensitic transformation when the temperature is changed under constant load. In addition, shape memory alloy wires have high electrical resistance and can be easily heated by electric surrent. Therefore, as shown in the figure below, the wire can be elongated and shrank by turning the current on and off. By utilizing this phenomenon, the actuator can be driven.
2. Benefits of using TTR actuators
Can be operated simply by electric current On/Off into wire
→ Compact and lightweight, simple structure, low cost
Light weight but high output (right figure)
Force and operating speed can be controlled by the amount of energization
There is almost no operating noise and the movement is smooth.

3. Difference from conventional NT line
The fluctuation of the strain at electric current On/Off depending on the number of repetitions is small.
There is almost no reduction in strain range during operation
Characteristics are stable regardless of the cycles
